Field Trip is full of stuff my own curiosities and delights. Stuff I’ve learned and stuff I’m still trying to figure out. It covers art and music and nature and literary craft and interviews with women and nonbinary artists from the American South. There will be snacks.

Nota bene: There will also be some cursing.

Field Trip includes a regular column, “Good Southern Women,” in which female and nonbinary artists answer a few questions about creating work and Southernness.

We’ll pack our bags, amble, observe, note, imagine, pause for refreshment, collect, and feel cozy and worn-out-in-a-good-way on the drive home.
