We had a hard freeze over Thanksgiving weekend, and the ginkgos dropped their leaves. As trees go, ginkgos are the masters of quiet drama. With winter approaching, a ginkgo will drop all of its bright yellow leaves in unison, leaving the bare tree standing in a glowing golden pool of leaves. The leaf drop is often triggered by a frost.
